There are many cloud storage services out there, but having a client for each service may not be something you'd want. In this sort of situation, using a specialized application, such as Mountain Duck, can be a good alternative. It gives you the possibility of connecting to multiple servers FTP servers and cloud storage services at once. What's more, the software makes the services you connect to appear as partitions in Windows Explorer.

Mountain Duck is free to try, with some restrictions. It is available for Windows and Mac OS X and it doesn't require any special tools or services. The installation process involves only one click and it shouldn't take more than a minute to complete, even on slower machines.

The software works in the background, but you can bring up a compact user interface, with options for connecting to a server. Selecting a service and typing in your username is sufficient to get started, but you can make some fine tweaks as well. Mountain Duck lets you specify your own SSH private key, select a client certificate, choose an encoding and more. When you connect to a cloud service, you will have allow the application to access them, on your default web browser, which will pop up automatically.

Once the application is connected, a new partition will appear in Windows Explorer, on which you can find all the data you have stored on that FTP server or cloud service. You can access this partition and manage your data or copy and move it, as if it were right on your hard drive. The software lets you disconnect and re-connect your drives separately, through its system tray icon, so you don't have to keep them visible at all times if you don't need to.

With Mountain Duck, you can have countless FTP servers and cloud services available right next to your local partitions.

Pros

You can make your FTP servers and cloud folders act as local partitions. The application supports various services. Installing it and setting it up can be done with only a few clicks.

Cons

The trial version will automatically shut down after a few minutes.
